University of Georgia MBA Student wins Fortune Small Business 2007 business plan competition

Founder of "Green Dragon Roach Kill " Jay Mullis, 30, produces an environmentally friendly, pet-safe insect killer. He got the recipe from his grandfather, who developed it in the 1980s and left the formula to his grandson. In August 2006, Mullis decided to use the family recipe to fulfill his entrepreneurial ambitions. Fortune Small Business magazine liked his ideas, naming Mullis the winner of FSB's 2007 business plan competition.
